When I first started beading in 2004, I was appalled to find what can only be called a dearth of resources for the left-handed beader. So you can imagine my surprise and delight when I found Glenda Payseno’s Yahoo! List, Beadchat. It wasn’t very long before I realized that Glenda is a true visionary, one who sees and thinks outside the box and doesn’t hesitate to do what she can to remedy a situation.

Our association was born with much hard labor on both our parts. LOL She had created a beautiful pattern that I just ‘had’ to make. However, none of the ‘tricks of the trade’ I had learned to make do with a pattern made it work for me, and I was desperate. So' I started picking her brain. Finally, she asked me if it would work if she ‘flipped’ the diagrams for me. I’d never heard of such a thing, but was willing to try anything by then so I said go for it. We quickly discovered that some patterns require more attention to detail than a simple ‘flip’.

I don’t think “thank you” can begin to cover the deep appreciation I have for Glenda for seeing the need for left-handed patterns and trusting me with converting them.
